Introducing the RackBETA
The rack is nearing its completion: multiple devices in one patch. It's a bit basic but it should work just fine, mobile/touchscreen support is pretty poor at this stage. Please send me an email if you find any bugs or inconveniences.
Feel free to submit a patch just for testing purposes and label it with rack-test tag so I can identify it as so.
Requires stackable cables, or some kind of mult.
Start with the DFAM's noise in unplugged if you want to start melodic, then plug in. Will have hats on every beat. I started the patch with the M32 volume down, turn it up to get a bassline/octave over the DFAM melody. You can transpose using the keyboard, a 5th or a 4th, an octave up or down, anything can sound good, depending on the pitches, and your definition of "good".
Play around with DFAM pitch sequencer to change tuning, velocity changes M32 filter cutoff, so you can have some notes sounding like a bass, and some sounding more like a lead.
Velocity also changes the LFO rate, which in turn messes with the DFAM's filter env decay, which will play with the noise duration. If you turn the CV mix counter clockwise, you'll get the triangle wave, which will make it groovier, if you choose the square, it's a harsher change. Lower velocity means slower LFO, which means higher chance of the filter remaining open for longer, but there's still a large randomness value.
Playing with the decays, the LFO knob, and resonance are obviously a lot of fun. I usually start with the DFAM's VCO2 hard sync + FM turned on, so I get a distorted copy of the main melody, then I play around with the VCO2 tuning to get a sync sweep for a while, then turn all that off to start getting kicks, and plug the noise in.
