Also be sure to set "assign" to "stepped random" (I use the SynthTool software... key combos are confusing). Made to work with sequences of tied notes. Each step has some stepping movement to it. Also works with other sequence types (less interesting without a sequence playing as the "assign"ed random step won't work).

Try playing with:
* VC Mix: low levels is less random stepping, more is more.
* LFO Rate: a little more can be fun
* Mix: Less is more square wave, more is more sawtooth
